Virangini Cindy, Homeopathic health consultant and educator
At the start
I started using Homeopathy in early 1980’s & have been teaching and consulting since 1983.
My first experience with Homeopathy was when I stepped on a bee’s nest, posting no hunting signs out in the horse fields. When I got home that afternoon, I had told my Dad what had happened. He was just starting to use homeopathy for himself and had a few books on the subject. He looked up into his books to see what to take for bee stings and gave me the homeopathic remedy Apis. Which to my amazement, the bee stings went away faster than if I did not take anything for them.
Another experience was when I was at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter; the Dr. said that she was still face up – breech. And if she did not turn around, face down, I would have to have a cesarean delivery. I was not in any shape or form going to have a cesarean, so I had taken a homeopathic remedy to turn my daughter around face down. And my daughter was delivered as a normal healthy vaginal delivery.
I became interested in studying Homeopathy after seeing firsthand how easy it was to use Homeopathy for myself and family for cough, colds, injuries, etc.
The Study Group
My father and I were both dabbling more into homeopathy for our own use and for family and friends. In the winter of 1982, a Homeopath that we were seeing, decided to start a Homeopathic Study Group. My father and I were so excited to hear that this was happening. When we asked the Homeopath when the Study Group would be meeting and who the teacher would be? The Homeopath responded that “my father and I would be teaching this new Study Group”. So, that is how my father and I began the Homeopathic Study Group in January of 1983. We started off teaching what we had already used homeopathy for on ourselves and for our family and friends. As time went on we continued our love for studying homeopathy by taking more and more in depth classes, gaining more experience and sharing this with those interested through our study groups. I never would have imagined, at the time, that there would be interest to continue this for over 30 years.
