A Few Tips on Managing Your Seasonal Allergies
Now that we are moving into warmer temperatures and everything is starting to blossom, some of us will be effected with seasonal allergies. There are several homeopathic remedies that can help. Below I have listed a few of the most common allergy remedies that I use with my clients.
Allium Cepa 30c/x
Use this remedy when you have profuse watery burning discharge from nose causing upper lip to burn and lots of sneezing, especially when entering a warm room. Eyes burn and tear, just like you are cutting onions. Allium Cepa is made from the red onion.
Ambrosia 30c/x
Ambrosia is good for allergy symptoms that move down the bronchial tubes causing an asthmatic attack. The symptoms start with intolerable itchy eye lids with sneezing and a stuffed up feeling in your nose and head. Use if especially allergic to ragweed.
Arsenicum Album 30c/x
Sneezing attacks without relief. Nose is itchy and feels stopped up with a thin watery burning nasal discharge, which causes an irritation to the upper lip. Eyes burn with hot stinging tears. Allergies worse in open air and better when indoors.
Local Honey
Can help your allergies by building up your immune system. Sweeten your drinks with honey or use it in your cooking and baking. You can use local honey year round or start prior to your allergy season and continue using it through the season. Best place to purchase local honey is from health food stores or farmers markets in your area.
